During the Easter holidays of 2026, Royal Conservatoire Antwerp will once again be organising an intensive music course for young musicians preparing for a classical music entrance exam, as well as for students already enrolled in a conservatoire programme.
For a full week, you will work alongside experienced teachers and meet motivated students from home and abroad. The internship is a unique opportunity to focus on your musical development and be inspired by an international community of like-minded talents.
What can you expect?
- Daily individual accompaniment in composition, vocal studies or instrument
- Workshops and lectures on topics such as historically informed performance practice and contemporary performance practice,
- improvisation and prevention training for musicians
- Chamber music and AMV for those who want to broaden their musical horizons
- Rehearsal and practice rooms on our vibrant campus
- A festive closing concert where participants present their work from the week

Registration
Instrument students:
Fill in the registration form and send an email to stages.kca@ap.be including the following attachments:
A video or YouTube link of you singing or playing your instrument
A list of repertoire on which you want to receive lessons
Any documents for social discount eligibility
Confirm your registration by paying the participation fee within two weeks after applying.
Composition students:
Portfolio requirements: one PDF file including:
A short text with your name and prior education
Three compositions (scores); if applicable, audio files via external links
Portfolio deadline: March 26, 2026, to bram.vancamp@ap.be. You will be informed by April 1, 2026, whether you have been accepted. Once your participation is confirmed, you can register via the registration form and send the necessary documents for any social discount to stages.kca@ap.be.

**10% discount on the participation fee for candidates who in 2025-2026 receive a school allowance or scholarship, study at a Belgian DKO or KSO, are members of VLAMO, Koor en Stem or other subsidised music organisations, participate in a youth orchestra, or study at Young Conservatoire Antwerp. The discount cannot be accumulated if you meet multiple criteria. Please attach the necessary supporting documents to your registration email.
Payment
Please transfer the correct amount within two weeks of registration. This is essential in order to be able to create the chamber music groups and timetables for the individual lessons correctly and on time!
