Punk, Beeld & Storm in Antwerp 1978-2018 is an exhibition project of the Antwerp Academy around Punk and Postpunk in Antwerp, their influence on the arts and their current relevance.
Every movement requires heretics. Forty years after the punk movement in Antwerp got a face with The Kids, 'Naughty Kids' explores how the iconoclasm of punk and post-punk drew new traces through the more classical visual arts, music, fashion, literature and graphic design in Antwerp. The exhibition also charts how the 'Do It Yourself' attitude is still part of the conversation today. Will there be a next time?
