I graduated as a fashion designer in 1996 at the fashion academy in Antwerp. Since then I have been working as a freelance designer for Belgian and international fashion labels. From 2009 to 2015 I had my own womanswear label Maureen De Clercq. I also have a lot of experience as a costumier for film and publicity. Since 2011 I teach fashion design at the fashion academy in Antwerp and I also work as head of training for the department. I organise many artistic projects but also workshops where the artistic field meets the current fashion industry.
