The bachelor Dance is a professional bachelor of three years or 180 credits. During your studies you will encounter a variety of contemporary dance techniques; you get in touch with choreographers and artists from Belgium and abroad; you are challenged to develop your potential and become a dance artist with a vision and an authentic personality.
A pre-master or bridging programme of 45 credits is obliged for students with a professional bachelor degree. It includes subjects such as Art Philosophy, Performance Analysis, Research Methodologies and Arts and Humanities. Students gain an insight into new perspectives and develop skills in academic research, documentation and reflection. A portfolio is also required and continued throughout the master as the container for reflection. Depending on their previous studies, students with an (academic) bachelor degree in dance or performing arts might have to follow an individual preparatory programme.
The preparatory programme is woven into the master programme which starts in September.
