To mark its 25th anniversary, Museum Tinguely will embark on a major cruise, travelling by river barge from Paris via Antwerp, Maastricht and Amsterdam up the Rhine via Gelsenkirchen and Düsseldorf to Basel, dropping anchor in places that played an important role in Jean Tinguely’s artistic career.
The boat will carry the documentary exhibition 'Et tout ceci est vrai!' on Tinguely’s art and also offer an art education programme for children and teens.
For Antwerp, where Tinguely was actively participating in the epoch-making 'Vision in Motion' exhibition at the Hessenhuis in 1959, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and art center Het Bos collaborated for a compact program on 28th and 29th July.
