Agostina D'Alessandro is an Argentinian choreographic artist based in Brussels since 2005. Her work explores movement as a field of sensitive experience, situated between creation, pedagogy and research into the consciousness of gesture.
After performing with several European dance companies, she founded the Agostina D'Alessandro Dance Company in 2016 — a space for creation ("One Body is not Enough", "The Nature of Intimacy", "Formless Mirror"…), research and transmission.
As a member of the Improvisation and Composition team at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, D'Alessandro has built a creative and pedagogical practice rooted in movement research. Her works there include "Reload in Motion", "Insight", "Virtus", "Malleable Reality", "Fascinum", "There" and "Unblocked", among others. Her choreographic writing is precise and sensitive: she treats the body as a site of active perception and shared creation, where every movement becomes an experience of listening and transformation.
In 2011, she developed the Conscious Release Method©, a practice that explores the release of the body and the shifting of perception as driving forces of a living artistic process, in which movement unfolds as its own language.
Through both her company and her method, D'Alessandro pursues a clear vision: an art of conscious movement, rooted in the living body and shaped by its constant transformation.
