Cecilia Belén Sandoval is an Argentine-Polish filmmaker and visual artist based in Brussels. She studied Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires and holds a Master’s degree in Documentary Filmmaking from DOCNOMADS in Portugal, Hungary, and Belgium. Her practice operates between cinema, photography, and ecological art, focusing on territory, memory, and more-than-human relations.
Since 2014, her work has been closely linked to the Paraná Rainforest in Misiones, Argentina, where she has collaborated with Guaraní communities and developed documentary films and artistic projects connected to environmental and social contexts. Her recent research explores plant-based photography, organic emulsions, and regenerative image-making.
