In November 2017 the Italian St Louis College of Music did organize the European Jazz Contest in cooperation with the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp and four other Conservatoires from all over Europe. This contest is a competition dedicated to young jazz players coming from all over Europe, proposing original projects. Over the years hundreds of groups decided to take part in the competition, and to discover the sounds and the back-grounds of their peers, coming from other nations.
As a partner of St Louis College of Music, the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp will invite the winner of this contest on April 25th to perform in the historical Jazz Club De Muze in the Antwerp City Center. Zadeno trio, a jazz project formed entirely by young Italian musicians did win the European Jazz Contest, so they will perform at De Muze on April 25th starting at 9 pm. This trio, born in the summer of 2014, is exploring the jazz language from the tradition to the present, under the guidance of the talented Neapolitan saxophonist, arranger and composer Claudio Jr De Rosa. The interplay between Alessio Bruno on double bass and Jacopo Zanette on the drums enriches and completes the arrangements and compositions by De Rosa.
