Competitions
Do you want to leave your mark on the global art scene as an artist and proud alumni of the Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp? Then participating in competitions might be a good stepping stone to get there. Below you will find a regularly updated overview of the competitions that can be interesting for you. Make sure to apply on time and give it your all!
Klein sculptuur
Since 1994, the Cultural Council has organized an annual art competition in collaboration with Cultuurcentrum Zwaneberg and with the support of sponsors. In recent years, the competition has acquired national fame with a certain prestige. There are always selected candidates from the region. It is a nice mix of professional and amateur artists, both young and old. In this way, professional contemporary visual artists are introduced among local artists. The art discipline of this competition changes every year. This year the discipline is small sculpture.

The jury for this edition is Ariane Van der Veken, Tamara Beheydt, Luk Van Soom, John Van Oers and Frederik Roggeman.
The exhibition is open from Saturday December 2 until Sunday January 14. Vernissage and awards ceremony on Friday, December 1 at 8:30 PM.
