We are pulling out all the stops for the 50th Breathing concert!
We are particularly pleased to have been able to attract one of the heavyweights of the New York jazz scene. Joe Sanders tours worldwide as a leader with 'Joe Sanders ' Infinity' and as sidemen with Kendrick Scott Oracle, Gerald Clayton Trio and Ben Wendel Quartet. He also shared the stage with such luminaries as Dave Brubeck, Christian McBride, Terence Blanchard, Ron Carter, Roy Hargrove, John Clayton, Ambrose Akinmusire, Charlie Haden, Herbie Hancock, Charles Lloyd and Wayne Shorter.
For this concert, he takes the young talents of SMOOR under his wing. SMOOR? That's Nero Vergaert (sax), Lorenzo Kobina (piano) and Robbe Broeckx (drums). They rehearsed intensely with Sanders for a few days and will show their best on 31 March on De Singer's stage.
