Ann Engels (1963) has a master's degree in singing (1995 LUCA) and subsequently obtained a specialization diploma in singing/opera (KCA 1997). She also graduated in Antwerp as a pianist (KCA1986) and obtained a chamber music diploma (LUCA 1993)
She has been working as a singing teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, Department of Drama/Kleinkunst, since 2008.
In the DKO she is affiliated with the Art Academy of Beveren (since 1986) as a teacher of piano, singing, vocal ensemble and piano accompaniment .
Ann has frequently given concerts with leading companies and was a freelance member of various ensembles such as Currende, Huelgas Ensemble, Il Fondamento, De Vlaamse Opera, the Vlaams Radiokoor, Goeyvaerts Consort, etc. She also played major roles in a number of musicals, including Phantom of the Opera .
For 35 years she has been a passionate teacher with a lot of passion for the singing profession and the organizer of an international singing internship for aspiring young singers.
