Bart Wils

Bart Wils (1987) studied accordion at the GAMW Mol and continued his studies at the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp with Ludo Mariën. He is the accordion teacher at the Ma'GO! Antwerp, Borgerhout Academy and de! Kunsthumaniora Antwerpen. At Ma'GO! he is also coordinator of the classical keyboard instruments.

Besides several solo performances at home and abroad (Festivals in Germany, France and Spain), he gained orchestral experience with De Munt, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Brussels Philharmonic, Music Hall/Musical van Vlaanderen and Studio 100, among others.

Bart tries to use the accordion in the broadest possible way. For example, he forms the Antwerp Klezmer Band together with Bart Geysels (soprano saxophone) and Joeri Vaerendonck (double bass), the composition "Postscriptum" for solo accordion by Jeroen Malaise is dedicated to him and recorded by him, he often works with Roland Bergeys (author/narrator), he can be heard on the CD Talpa by Ludo Mariën ...
