Edu Tarín

Edu Tarín (1984) is a jewellery maker originally from Valencia, Spain, where he was trained as a goldsmith at the workshop of the family business and later continued with his studies in artistic jewellery at the EASD Valencia. In 2012 he received his Bachelor degree and since 2015 he holds a Master in Fine Arts from the University of Applied Sciences Trier, Dept. Gemstone and Jewellery Design in Idar Oberstein, Germany.

He is actively involved in the research of a sympathetic dialog between new technologies and traditional techniques applied to jewellery design, collaborating with various companies within the field of gemstone cutting.

His work has been shown internationally in several galleries and museums and he has been recently awarded with the European Prize for Applied Arts 2021 (BE), nominee of the Loewe Craft prize 2020 (ES), the Preis des Handwerks 2019 of the Chamber of crafts for Rhineland Palatinate (DE) and the Talente Prize 2016 of the chamber of crafts in Munich (DE) among others.
