Jan Sanen studied guitar at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp. He plays chamber music in various ensembles (guitar-vocals, guitar-violin, guitar duo). He composes and improvises the music for the guitar duo Teyata with An Volders. Teyata has released three albums: ‘Versa’ (2013), ‘Leipzig’ (2017), and 'Drie' (2026). Jan has also recorded solo albums, featuring Belgian guitar music (2018 and 2021) and his own work (2021). Since 2004, Jan has been teaching at the Antwerp Music Academy (MA-GO), and since 2010 also at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp.
