Renaud Guy-Rousseau

Renaud Guy-Rousseau is the principal bass clarinet of the Orchestre National de France since 2013 and regular guest of Les Dissonances, he has collaborated with London Symphony Orchestra, Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, Venice Fenice Opera and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

As an eclectic musician, Renaud strives to explore the widest possible range of sounds from
period instruments with Les Siècles or Amandine Beyer, to experimental and contemporary music as a member of the TM+ ensemble  and Zagreb based Synchronos Ensemble.He works with many composers but also  electronic music producers like Tim Karbon. He’s also a member of Maât, a group that fuses rock, jazz and machines.

Exploring the repertoire of Eastern music with accordionist Félicien Brut, he regularly performs as a guest of the Sirba Octet. He’s also a founding member of the  Trio Cocteau reed ensemble with Lola Descours and Ilyes Boufadden

Renaud teached at the Conservatoire du 17 th of Paris before joining the teaching staff at the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, were he became principal teacher bass clarinet in 2021.
He regularly gives masterclasses abroad.
