So prettly prattly pollylogue. James Joyce and the art of... cooking, reading, writing, exhibiting, performing, and...

This research project is in dialogue with the 26th international James Joyce symposium, held at the University of Antwerp in June 2018. The symposium takes place at various locations in the city of Antwerp, with the subtitle: The Art of James Joyce.

The research project starts from the question whether today - in the context of an international academic conference on the literary work of James Joyce - we can build a bridge to the culinary, visual, musical and also the conceptual character of the arts. The intention is to organize the James Joyce symposium as an experimental event for lectures and performances.

The project is a collaboration between professor emeritus comparative literature Geert Lernout (UA), visual artist Nico Dockx (KAA), and art historian and curator Sarat Maharaj (Malmö Art Academy / Lund University).
