The Winter Garden, actually a covered cloister garden, is a flexible presentation platform. Centrally located and visible and accessible from various sides, this room is an ideal workplace and showplace for students, researchers and teachers. The Winter Garden is mainly used as a laboratory: an addition to or an alternative to the studio. Exhibiting in De Wintertuin is often the first step for academy students in opening up their artistic practice.
