Eline De Clercq

Eline De Clercq (she, her, we) is a visual artist, gardener, painter, writer, filmmaker and researcher in the field of art and ecology. Her practice starts from artistic research into local multispecies ecologies and the connection between gender and queer identity. Her visual work is a response to the need for visibility by and for minorities. Representation of both people and plants is woven into paintings, film and installations. In her practice, she often collaborates with intersectional artists. In 2018, De Clercq founded Wool Publishing, a platform for intersectional representation in exhibitions and print. In 2019, she started the Gesamthof, a trans and lesbian garden located between art hall Extra City and Morpho vzw. This art-nature project is the starting point to raise curiosity about decolonial practices and storytelling in an ecofeminist garden practice.
