Since 2000, Jeroen Laureyns (1976) teaches contemporary art in Sint Lucas Ghent. For the first eight years he combined his teaching practice with a professional life as an art critic by discussing weekly exhibitions of contemporary art for De Standaard, de Tijd, H ART and Klara, among others.
Later he retreated to work on a book and an exhibition that was awarded as a doctorate from the V.U.B with Hans M. de Wolf. The exhibition Weg van Vlaanderen was on show in the Warande in Turnhout, the book titled Hedendaagse Vlaamse landschappen in de beeldende kunst 1968-2013 was published with Uitgeverij Hannibal.
