Tomorrow's Language. Louwrien Wijers

Working together with Joseph Beuys for eighteen years, artist Louwrien Wijers (1941, NL) considers, like Beuys, writing, speaking and thinking as sculpture.
In 1990 she realised in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam the symposium – she calls it her “mental sculpture” – ‘Art meets Science and Spirituality in a changing Economy’.
Louwrien Wijers shared in 2017 during a five-day retreat with 21 art people the content of 1990 to determine what of it is important for our future. Those quotes she captured in ‘Tomorrow’s Language’, on 40 handwritten panels, presented by Expanding Academy at the Academy during the Antwerp Art Weekend, and compiled by Nico Dockx in a small publication.
