After graduation - Drama

You will find work in the performing arts, various media, the wider socio-artistic and cultural field. Combined with or after your master's degree, you can follow the Educational master in Music & Performing Arts, which is also offered on campus. Alumni and teachers can question and enrich their artistic praxis as part of a research project.

 

Offers to alumni

The Royal Conservatoire Antwerp cherishes its alumni, this is why we offer some privileges:

  • free participation in masterclasses (if places are available). Please check our calendar or newsletter for the dates.
  • the next academic year after graduation, you are a member of vzw Bolster for free. (this means free concerts and invitations to our main events)
  • for the rest of your life, you remain a member of our librabry for free! 

Alumni network

If you graduated from the Royal Conservatoire Antwerp, the former Herman Terilinck Institute, Studio Herman Teirlinck of the Higher Institute for Dance, then you belong to our alumni. Feel free to post about your artistic activities, tag yourself and your friends in photos, search classmates and reminisce. Do you need an artistic companion for a particular project, then you might find who you are looking for on our Facebook group.

Continue studying? Sure!

You can follow a shortened programme of 60 credits after the master to obtain an Educational master’s degree. The programme provides various courses in teaching methodology, internships, project work and supporting courses. The programme concludes with a master’s thesis Art-educational project.

Research

Alumni and lecturers can question and enrich their artistic praxis as part of a research project. Within the Association of University & Colleges of Antwerp, you can start a research project or obtain a PhD in the Arts.

When students come to study at the Conservatoire, they are entering a vibrant, international environment. With its many foreign students and teachers, students connect through many languages and cultures. Students can also attend guest lectures and masterclasses given by specialised artists from across the world.

Music project together wtih samen Trix Music Centre

The specialization Music&Creating works together with Music Centre Trix for the Digital Music Production lessons. This culminates in the third-year music project in which the students, led by Youniss Ahamad and Felix Machtelinckx, explore how to translate their productions live.

Teaching staff- Drama

The teaching staff consists of a mix of fixed teachers and guest teachers of different ages and backgrounds. It is a well-balanced team of experts who, in addition to their (artistic) careers, have the ambition to provide tailor-made guidance to young performing talents. They help you find your own voice and guide you in your creative process.
