The Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts will soon blow out 360 candles. So you can already imagine how many students in recent years - and centuries! – have been sent here and have exchanged the studios and classrooms for a career in the arts sector or the cultural field.

We like to put a spotlight on our alumni, whether recently graduated or having left the schools years or decades ago.

  • That Antwerp's fashion sector has a lot of international resonance has been proven once again by menswear designer Jan-Jan Van Esssche. On 10 January he presented his collection for the first time as a guest designer (the so-called Designer Project) at Pitti Uomo, one of the most important and well-known men's fashion fairs in the world, which takes place twice a year in Florence, Italy. Check out Jan-Jan's website for more information and news about his work!
  • Our Painting alumna proudly presents KHÕRA, the first publication of her drawings in a beautiful, well-kept edition in a limited edition. The collection of drawings arose from her participation in Kunstwerkt's “A paper / a day” online drawing challenge last October, an assignment that challenged her to make one drawing every day and share it on social media. More information can be found HERE. Congratulations!
