We strongly advise students from outside the EU to participate in the first session of the entrance exams because of Visum issues and the time needed to arrange their stay in Belgium.

1. Register online
Registration for the entrance exam for academic year '20 -'21 is no longer possible. Registration for the entrance exam for academic year '21 -'22 is not yet possible. Would you like to stay informed about the next entrance exams? Then sign up for the newsletter Music.
2. The administration fee
To be certain that you can participate, the administration fee (40 euros) has to be paid within two weeks after registration. The payment needs to be done online within the application tool. The application fee is non-refundable.

4. The day of the entrance exam or an exam through video
ONLINE PARTICIPATION option for Classical Music (instrument or vocals), obligatory for Composition, postgraduate Suzuki and the orientation tests: Advanced Musicianship Piano, Practical harmony, Aural practice and General music theory
Exceptionally all entrance examinations of the first session in April and May will take place online. In this case you participate by uploading video recordings of the requested repertoire and for Classical Music also of a recorded interview in English or Dutch through our online platform (you will receive detailed instructions by mail). These recordings have to be uploaded before the date of the entrance exam. These videos will be reviewed by the jury on the same day as the entrance exam. Exact instructions will be sent to you by e-mail after registration. Already registered? Then you will receive the extra instructions from the student administration. If an applicant for Classical Music from a non-EU country is unable to be present the day of the entrance exam during the second session, he or she can also apply online. Applicants for Jazz Music from abroad (also EU) can participate online.
LIVE PARTICIPATION option for Classical Music (instrument or vocals), obligatory for Conducting
Candidates for Instrument or Vocals (Classical Music) are allowed to choose a live participation for the entrance examination. After registration, you will be able to choose a live or online participation. Candidates for Conducting have to participate live in the entrance examinations.
COMBINATION OF ONLINE AND LIVE PARTICIPATION jazz
You will do an entrance examination based on a video recording (deadline 20 August) with the requested programme and a live part. The live part will take place at the Royal Conservatoire, Desguinlei 25, 2018 Antwerp.
5. Publication of the results of the entrance exam
Within seven calendar days from the decision, the results of the artistic entrance exam are sent by e-mail to the e-mail address specified by the candidate.
A prospective student may only enroll once per academic year, based on the same entrance exam unless specifically requested by the jury after the first participation.
